China is famous for its wide variety of animal life—none more so than the giant panda which has become world renowned. Zoos and wildlife parks are popular attractions so it’s well worth learning to talk in Mandarin Chinese about visiting one and speaking about the various animals you night see there. You never know you might get to see a giant panda too and have your photograph taken near one!

B: Nǐ bù zhī dào ba, xióng māo guǎn zhè jǐ tiān yǒu yī gè xīn shēng de xióng māo bǎo bǎo! Nǐ bù shì zuì xǐ huān xióng māo me?

You don’t know, huh? The panda house has a new-born panda baby. Don’t you really like the giant panda?

A:哇,真的么?一定很可爱,那我们先去熊猫馆吧。

A: Wa, zhēn de me? Yī dìng hěn kě’ài, nà wǒ men xiān qù xióng māo guǎn ba.

Wow, for real? Must be adorable. Let’s go to the panda house first.

B:没问题。那看完熊猫你还想去看什么动物?

B: Méi wèn tí. Nà kàn wán xióng māo nǐ hái xiǎng qù kàn shén me dòng wù?

No problem. What animals do you want to see after the panda?

A:我想先看狮子,老虎,猴子,长颈鹿和鳄鱼吧。

A: Wǒ xiǎng xiān kàn shī zi, lǎo hǔ, hóu zi, cháng jǐng lù hé è yú ba.

I want to see lions, tigers, monkeys, giraffes and crocodiles.

B:好的,那我看看地图,嗯,熊猫馆往这边走。

B: Hǎo de, nà wǒ kàn kàn dì tú, en, xióng māo guǎn wǎng zhè biān zǒu.
