Yet more and more people are realising the dangers of driving when they have had too much to drink, and abstain from alcoholic beverages. It’s a great topic to be able to talk about with your colleagues in Mandarin Chinese—and make sure to stay safe if you plan to drive!

Their cocktails are very good. Do you want to try one?

B:我一会儿得开车,还是喝不带酒精的饮料吧。

B: Wǒ yī huǐ er děi kāi chē, hái shì hē bù dài jiǔ jīng de yǐn liào ba.

I need to drive later. I will just drink non-alcoholic drinks, thanks.

A:哦,那……有鲜榨果汁,可乐雪碧,冰咖啡。

A: Ó, nà……yǒu xiān zhà guǒ zhī, kě lè xuě bì, bīng kā fēi.

Okay. There is freshly squeezed juice, Coke, Sprite, and iced coffee.

B:我来杯冰咖啡吧!

I’ll have a cup of iced coffee.
